I haven't gotten my DVD Burner yet, so I'm not up to speed on what it's the cell format goes by, but mode 2 XA is a CDROM format. What are you trying to copy, DVD or CDROM? From what I've read, Primo is best for DVD copying.

i extracted a cue with isobuster, and i drag it over the the dvd-r. But it wont let me change the format. I tried it, and it didn't work still. I will try primo and see what happens.

I'm not sure you know quite what you are doing. The crrect program to use with CUE/BIN (you do have a BIN file?) is CDRWin. If the only device you have is a DVD-R burner, you may have burning problems.

Nero can burn BIN/CUE but I've never needed to to that becasue I also have CDRWin. So maybe someone else will give the details.

No. You're still thinking with a CD-R mentality. DVD-R is a whole different ballgame.

CDRWin does NOT support any of the mainstream DVD-R burners (even on the CD-R side, as I've been in contact with Goldenhawk on the subject.) Nero does seem to generically support most DVD-R burners, but typically at 1x. Use PrimoDVD or RecordNow Max (both by Veritas) for Global Images.
The majority of DVD images are done in .gi format (Global Image) and were created by either PrimoDVD or VOB 6.x. Mode 1, Mode 2, and Mode 2/XA are CD-R formats, not DVD-R formats.

Burning any current CD-R Mode 2 image to DVD-R is a complete waste of both time and money. Now, if the PS2 disc was originally in Compact Disc Format (as stated on the rear of the cover) then burn it to a standard 80 min CD-R. If the rear cover stated DVD, then it needs to be burned to a DVD-R.
