Black box when I play DVD movie

Hi everyone!!! how ya goin?

i got my PS2 2 years ago... it's a V3 modded with DMS3 V2.0 firmware 1.6...
I got the new firmware in the website and update my console with it... Now i can't play original games and i got a black box in the middle of the screen when im seeing DVD Movies... whats wrong?? I put the original firmware again but did'nt work it....

if you have a jvc television, it's the macrovision... otherwise... dunno

yeah,,, I had the same problem for my sister's computer... had the PS2 hooked into it and could see the very top and bottom of the screen... the erst was black... PC manufacturer said it was the macrovision... seems that the PS2 has it enabled even when playing games.... was trying to record an awesome replay for Driver... to send in to a website...
