TJT's Custom Ps2

Used Ben999's tutorial for the light behind the grill. Its a Purple 4in Cold Cathode I found at an auto parts store. I wanted a 6 inch blue one, but couldent find one in my area. THe purple doesnt look bad at all, it goes nicely with the Blue carbon fiber case. My case was done by Phoenix Imaging, a company that uses hydro-graphics for misc parts. THey paint it a base coat, then put a thin layer of film that has the pattern on it over the part folowed by a few coats of clearcoat that is buffed smooth.

Thanks, adding the CC is a really simple mod. Id like to try it with a window (like one of the custom XBox jewels) overlooking a Modchip, with a round CC around it.

Allrighty-then im sure most of you have seen my thread in the B/S/T forum about wanting a clear case. THanks to the great members of consolenewz.com I stumbled upon a site that sells them and also got it mailed to me in a reasonable time.

Anyway, im not just going to flop in the inerds and settle with that, im going to take it a step further with the polishing of the case pieces, adding some lights, and of course and exposed modchip would be cool (messiah 2 Pro V1.33b of course.) Im thinking blue cathodes would look good, one up by the cooling fins and one behind the grill.

Ill get some pics up of my process today or tommorrow, but if any of you members have got some ideas for me, please post your thoughts.

hey wat parts does it come with?

top half, bottom half, dvd bezel, fan plate, rear hdd bay cover, and bottom screw covers. All are clear, and there are two power/eject pieces for the different models.

Ben999 - I sent in my original case to www.dash-kit.com for the blue carbon fiber coating. Its a process called hydro-graphics, you can see what they do at their site. Ive attached more pics.

that's good to know, I saw those for sale and thought they looked decent. I was skeptical on the whole fits any version thing though. http://getmods.com/ is selling translucent blue and clear ones for 20 bucks.

Yea, I think it was a fitment issue with mine, the top wasnt an exact fit, plus the top was tweaked a little. It definatly wont look right on a v9 or 10 since they dont have the mini usb port. I think these are molded from V7 cases, since they have the same rear fan/power switch piece. The V5's is a little different.

Ah well. At least it looks cool with my Carbon Fiber top on the clear bottom half.

well i can a v4-v7 to fit a v9 since a v9 is basically a v7 case just tweaked

my ps2 looks ok . the leds are very very small and come from the mobo side 1206 leds. a clear case would look nice . http://www.consolenewz.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22933 i also have a blue led for the hdd light. i think im'a add more cuae u can't see it with all the white lights. btw how bout soem pics of the clear case?
