I only ask for help when I have exausted all resources, but DVD burning can get expensive with mistakes.

I just purchased a pioneer v4 drive and burned my first two copies. (Test Drive and Medal of Honor) All looks good I checked there TOC and found a DVD with a larger one. Followed all directions and I can't get them to boot!!

Before I burn more I was wondering if someone might know if it could be the first gen. No-Solder mod chip I have (which is limited to 630meg CDR burns), or possibly my process.

I followed the tutorials on burning with Primo. Even burned the second one at 1x. Media type was Pioneer on one and Apple on the other.

Followed the swap method posted for this chip and no luck.

Thankx in advance for the help.

GameShark 2 disk and cant find the version on it anywhere. I read they stoped putting it on them you need to check how many codes you have to find the version.

I just read that you may need to leave the code for GameShark at "Armoured Core 2" to get them to boot. This is the first I have read on having to set the game in GameShark to be able to boot.
I will try it and report back.

The version can be found on the data side of the disc around the inner hub. If necessary, use a magifying glass and tilt the disc under a lamp to see the stamping. Many v2 GS2s were actually stamped v1.99d.

The most prized GS2 is the v1.93, which if you're lucky, you can still find included with the SharkBoard USB keyboard. No memory dongle included, but the disc is as a bonus.
