Nes roms on Ps2

do you know if is possible to run NES roms on Ps2?
the PSMS seems to do it....i try but i don't know what i need to do it.........

PSMS is For Sega Master Sytem Roms. If u Wanna Run NES I would Suggest pNESx Or IMBNES. IMBNES being the best of the two running games at full speed where as pnesx runs games at a slower speed. These two emulators are made for the psx but u can run them on your ps2 just use the PSX boot method. I Play Zelda II Adventures Of Link on my ps2 all the time.

I try Imbnes: I insert psx.exe, nes.exe and rombank.bin in "New cd" (Nero 5.5), but it don't seems to work on my Ps2(Messiah) says"Insert Playstation or Playstation2 disk". There's Something wrong?

First make an iso with CDGen v2.0 (freeware), place psx.exe, nes.exe, system.cnf, and rombank:

After your iso is made u need to license it, for this i suggest using Gridlocks license tool, browse for the iso and patch:

After U have Patched it burn with cdrwin @ 2x (may take a little longer but guarantees a werking copy!!!!!!!

for anyone new using this thread looking for info on making the IMBNes, please do not use the above method, it is fake or very poorly assumed and put together.

remember folks as CDgenV2 is for PS2 GAMES not for PS1 games, this is infact a playstation 1 program so therefore would need playstation boot info not ps2 boot info. and the gridlock is for ps1 games also.....

just build this iso normally like how they tell you in the readmes or tutorial. and use Gs2/Ar2 cd2 or gameshark lite to boot.

Not to get pissed off or anything, but this method werks great for imbnes, how can u tell me it will not werk when i have 18 werking copies all done this way. This method will allow direct boot of imbnes, it will be licensed so no ar/gs.

well see you need to post legit info with the no-modders in mind, it may work for people with a no swap mod but with people with a no mod it does not work. building it normally how it was originally intended to do so will work for ALL methods of boot.

anyone have a copy of IMBNES somewhere? All the links are down and the IMBNES website (http://imbnes.gamebase.ca/) is also down. I've tried PnesX and it's OK (a little slow, and the music isn't so great, but it works!) I hear IMBNES is better and want to give it a shot, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

well it didnt work for me, i built it correctly and patched it with gridlock just as he said. next time im just going to build it using the included tools.

I've got IMBNES, I'll try to attach it to this reply. It's not the original archive, I don't have that, it's version 1.1 with the latest version of ROMBANK.

I've built several isos but i can't get them to load in epsxe...i used the included tools with imbnes 1.2b and several other methods. Is it possible it will still work on the console even if it stays at black screen in epsxe?

NO, not unless u have gs or ar if u do it will werk if u swap with one of these otherwise the iso is not licensed!

you really have no idea what you are doing screwed

.....anyways if it doesnt load and hangs at epsxe DEFINITELY do not burn it. cause it will not work. build the cd normally how they intentionally want you to and then try it on epsxe. build it in the correct reigion you have your bios setup to. so if you have USA bios (scph1001,and so on) then you need to use makeUSAcd

i just made an iso of imbnes and it works perfect using my method, i highly suggest using the imb build tool as it was made for this stuff. it has cdgen for ps1, 2 license tools. combine this with imb binaries that you have already downloaded, this is a great way and easy way to get imbnes working.

also the most hasslefree.

Hello i'm french and i'm using CDGEN to make my CD.
My CD is booting, but i can't see the menu for playing game... Is it normal ?
When i touch the R1/R2 L1/L2 and Start a game running but i can't choose the game !

as it is normal because it used for PSX and PS1. If you put in PSX or Ps1, it should work rite
