I have a Pioneer A04 and the recommended media, as I've heard, is Verbatim.
Well, where's the cheapest place that can I buy Verbatim DVD-Rs in bulk?

Also, if I can't find these at a good price (for me), what are other brands that will work in backing up PS2/XBox games?

As you're here in the States, try www.pricewatch.com to compare reseller pricing on DVD-R media.

Generics and Princo blanks are a proven waste of money, as games will refuse to load or if they do, they'll take forever to load and then skip and freeze.

Best brands are Pioneer, Verbatim, TDK, Imation, and Apple. The Apple blanks still seem to be the best deal going at $24.95 for a 5-pak with free ground shipping. You can find them at the Apple on-line store at www.apple.com in the Storage Media section. (Also available in the UK Apple store for the European folks.)

What about the NEO DVD-Rs at playstationmods.com? It says they are made specifically for use in the bunrer I got for games and a 20-pack is about $70 US (shipping included in price)

I've never tried them, Wes, so I can't comment. See if they'll sell a 2-pak sampler for you to test before you commit to a bulk purchase.

Me, I'm sticking with what I know works. I've wasted too much money on generics in the past. At $5 each for Apple's, they're cheap and extremely reliable.

If you try them let us know how they work, eh?

thugz : good luck, i couldnt find anyone in canada besides apple.ca but spending 9.60 for a dvd-r is a pain in the ass (canadian funds). I ended up ordering from the states some bulk TDK's for 550 CND dollars (i think it was 100 silver top'd 80min cdrs amd 100 silver top'd dvd-r's (TDK brand, identical to apple) for 306 including shipping plus a brokrage fee which ups just rapes you with (60 bucks) but it was cheaper than paying the 14.5% tax here in BC if i bought them localy (if i even could)

Loto_Bak,

Where did you buy that from? I'm in Ontario, so I have to deal with 15% tax. :(
